Messer Unveils KwikChiller: Nitrogen Chilling Innovation for Poultry

Messer, known for its cryogenic solutions in poultry processing, is set to launch the KwikChiller, a nitrogen-powered continuous chilling system for fresh poultry. The innovative KwikChiller will debut at the 2025 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in a private suite.

"Traditional methods of shoveling CO2 pellets are outdated," said Don Smiley, Director of Food and Beverage at Messer. "Our nitrogen solution reduces purge loss by 85% and addresses temperature control and CO2 safety issues."

The KwikChiller offers:

  • Yield improvements at high production capacity.
  • Rapid, uniform temperature control for shipping.
  • A safer nitrogen chilling process with integrated exhaust.
