Modine Chosen as Thermal Solutions Provider for GILLIG Hybrid Buses

Modine has been selected as the thermal management supplier for GILLIG’s hybrid-electric bus platform, which utilizes the Allison eGen Flex system. The partnership brings Modine’s EVantage Battery Thermal Management Systems and inverter cooling module to GILLIG's hybrid buses, enhancing their performance and longevity under varied conditions.

Since 2023, over 100 GILLIG hybrid buses with Modine's systems have been delivered across several U.S. communities, demonstrating reliability and success. Recent deliveries include 15 hybrid buses to Citibus in Lubbock, Texas, with 15 more scheduled this year.

Benjamin Grunat, VP of Product Planning & Strategy at GILLIG, highlights the support from Modine in reinforcing the reliability of their Hybrid buses. Modine's expertise in thermal management technology contributes significantly to GILLIG's sustainable transportation solutions.

GILLIG, known for its hybrid technology, provides fuel-efficient bus models equipped with clean diesel engines and the eGen Flex hybrid propulsion system by Allison. Modine’s Vice President, Gina Maria Bonini, reiterates the company’s commitment to clean transportation, underlining their role in offering effective thermal management solutions.

With a century of expertise, Modine supplies advanced thermal systems for commercial EVs, ensuring optimal battery and component temperatures even in extreme conditions. Their solutions offer flexibility and efficiency, vital for modern public transportation needs.
