New Plant Refcool Has Opened in Russia

On May 31, the grand opening of a new plant for the production of climatic and refrigeration equipment Refcool took place on the Borovsk’s area of Kaluga Special Economic Zone.

The ceremony was attended by: 

  • Anatoly D. Artamonov, the head of Kaluga Region Government and Ilya Veselov, the Minister of Economic Development of this region; 
  • Sergey Morozov, the Chairman of the Board of “Thermocool” Group of Companies, and Alexey Morozov, the General Director of LLC “Refcool”; 
  • representatives of Bitzer, Danfoss, HiRef, Thermofin, Mayekawa, EBM-papst, Frigopoint, Dantex; 
  • other partners of the company and honored guests. 

As part of the grand opening, a tree planting ceremony took place. The nominal trees were planted by the governor of the Kaluga region and key partners of the plant: 

  • from Bitzer company — Gianni Parlanti, Director of Sales & Marketing (Germany), and Denis Timokhin, Director of the Russian Representative Office; 
  • from Danfoss company — Mikhail Shapiro, General Director of Danfoss LLC (Russia) and Yury Churikov, Director of Sales and Marketing for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Russia); 
  • from HiRef company - Managing Director Mauro Mantovan (Italy)

Then Sergey Morozov, the chairman of the board of the “Termocool” Alexey Morozov, the General Director of LLC “Refcool” and Ilya Veselov, the Minister of Economic Development of the Region carried out a symbolic launch of the enterprise. 

For all guests, it had been conducted a tour of the plant.

The building area is 12 000 sq. m. and includes industrial, office and domestic premises. The facility’s construction took only about a year. Building’s design and construction were carried out by the company "Termocool".

The investment in the project has amounted to about 437 million rubles (6 million EUR).

Products manufactured by LLC “Refcool” — refrigeration units, precision air conditioners, chillers. The planned production volume is 220 product units per month. They plan to open 140 employment creations at the plant.
