OZONE2CLIMATE Roundtable And EPEE&CRAA Side Event

EPEE’s Director General Andrea Voigt participated this week in the ozone2climate roundtable organised by UN Environment, UNDP, FECO and CRAA. Andrea spoke about the key trends impacting HVACR in Europe and beyond, sharing key findings from the Eureka 2017 dialogue with the next generation of consumers and discussing implications on the HFC phase-down in the EU, but also globally. EPEE also co-organised, together with CRAA – the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association, a side-event on ‘European legislation and its impact on manufacturers in China’ where discussions covered eco-design updates from EPEE technical consultation Stefan Thie, implementation of the HFC phase-down and the announcement of a continued collaboration between EPEE and UN Evironment on the HFC outlook project, a tool supporting developing countries to meet their targets under the Kigali Amendment phasing-down HFCs globally.
