Panasonic Announces Winners of 3rd PRO Awards

Panasonic has announced the winners of its 3rd PRO Awards. The bi-annual awards celebrate stand-out Panasonic installations across Europe that demonstrate excellence in design, specification and installation.

This round of the PRO Awards attracted the highest number of submissions to date, with entries from over ten European countries competing for: Best Residential Project, Best Hospitality Project, Best Retail Project, and Best Commercial Project. Together with the main categories, the judges also bestowed four special recognition awards for Best Innovative Project, Best Energy Performance, Best GHP and Best Sustainable Project.

“This year’s PRO Awards have once again left us greatly impressed by the high standard of entries received across Europe. The winning entries show immense commitment and passion for the growth of sustainable heating and cooling, whilst delivering effective solutions in each category. We would like to applaud everyone who entered.” Comments Albert Blasco, European Marketing Manager at Panasonic Heating and Cooling.

The winners were selected by an international judging panel of independent industry experts, including David Frise (UK) - CEO of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA), Jean Pradere (France) - treasurer of the French Heat Pump Association (AFPAC), Wolfgang Zaremski (Germany) - president of ASERCOM, Damir Žaja (Croatia) - executive manager at HVAC design company B.E.S.T. Projekt and Juan Travesí Cabetas (Spain) - Vice President of the Spanish Technical Association of Air Conditioning (ATECYR).The judges looked for projects which demonstrated innovation as well as sustainability, high energy performance, cost effectiveness and aesthetics.

David Frise, UK Judge and CEO of BESA said; “The Panasonic PRO Awards shows a high standard of Panasonic projects and it was great to see the innovative focus on design, energy performance and sustainability. Congratulations to the deserving winners.

The PRO Award winners are:

• Best Residential Project
- Climamarket Efendulov LTD for Varna Wave, Bulgaria
• Best Retail Project
- Tech Refrigeration & Air Conditioning for Victoria's Secret Dublin, Ireland
• Best Commercial Project
- Fernando Oliván Avilés for Citroën Aramóvil Zaragoza, Spain
• Best Hospitality Project
- Terundar for Hotel Lavida, Spain

Special Recognition Award Winners are:

• Best Innovative Project
- PCC for Showroom Christian Liaigre, France
• Best Energy Performance
- Instalaciones Durcal for Residencial Alarifes II, Spain
• Best GHP Project
- Aircon Sales & Service for Allstate Offices, Mays Meadow, Northern Ireland
• Best Sustainable Project
- Mardo Kältetechnik GmbH for Neubau ITK Engineering GmbH, Germany

Winners will receive a trophy and a trip to Japan, which includes a visit to the Panasonic Global Headquarters and the ground-breaking Fujisawa Sustainable Smart Town. They also receive a professionally written case study to use for PR and marketing purposes plus international recognition for their excellent project.
