Panasonic’s TZ Air Conditioner Wins Good Design Award

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions is pleased to announce its first-class wall-mounted air conditioner, the TZ has been awarded the Good Design Award by the sole comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system in Japan since 1957.

An “excellent design” indicated by Good Design Award is a design which focusses on the following philosophies:

  • Humanity: Creative power for products and conceptual embodiments
  • Honesty: Insight into the contemporary society
  • Innovation: Conceptual power to pioneer the future
  • Aesthetics: Imaginative power for prosperous lifestyle culture
  • Ethics: Thinking power reflecting on society and environment

Meeting all the above requirements, Panasonic’s award-winning TZ proves to be a worthy addition to any home. Having recently undergone major improvements to its design, the system boasts a smaller and more elegant chassis at only 779mm wide, whilst still maintaining impressive power and efficiency. The unit is small enough for above door installation, making it ideal for limited spaces. The new chassis design also allows for increased durability and easy installation.

An additional bonus, the heating and cooling solution’s filter catches harmful particulate matter (PM2.5) often found suspended in the air – including dust, hazardous pollutants, pollen, dirt, smoke, and liquid droplets. The filter catches and reduces particles, helping maintain the room’s air quality.

Furthermore, Panasonic has ensured the TZ has an elegant design to suit home interiors, Good Design Award commends how its “simplified compact structure and seamless form enables a clean and timeless design” and notes the “matt finishing helps achieve space harmony goal”.
