Recold Brand Forced-Draft Cooling Towers Enter EMEA Market

SPX Cooling Technologies is introducing a range of forced-draft cooling towers into Europe and the Middle East regions that boast a pedigree dating back 90 years.

The Recold brand J Series range of towers expands SPX’s current EMEAI offering, delivering  robust attributes that align with its well known Marley evaporative cooling brand.

The Recold brand provides high-quality evaporative cooling products that deliver long-term value. Its JW Fluid Cooler and JT Cooling Tower utilize high quality materials and rugged construction to deliver reliable performance for years. At the heart of these products are  copper heat exchanger coils to provide superior corrosion resistance, heat exchange and  durability.  Stainless steel comprises critical components such as coil tubesheets, doors, door guides, and pump anti-cavitation hoods. Other components and casing utilize Z725 heavy mill galvanized steel as standard.

Ease of maintenance is another important Recold design advantage. When routine maintenance is required, the Recold design keeps time and cost to a minimum with up to nine doors on larger models providing easy access to the internal elements. Water make-up valves located in external float boxes allow quick adjustments while the tower is operating. Standard features include a sloping basin bottom and an external water header cleanout.

Every J Series tower undergoes a final operational test before shipment. Inspectors operate and check the fan, pump and options such as the control panel. They perform a basin leak test to ensure startup is uncomplicated.
