RHEEM Earns 2021 Energy Star Partner of the Year Award

Rheem, a global manufacturer of water heating and HVACR products is proud to announce that it has received the 2021 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.

“Our products have an impact on our planet’s limited resources, and with that comes responsibility,” said John Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President of Operations for Rheem. “We’re committed to leading the way with products and solutions that truly make a difference for the environment.”

Rheem has focused on reducing its greenhouse gas footprint related to both products and manufacturing, as well as the amount of waste sent to landfill globally. The company is also committed to training a quarter of a million plumbers, contractors and key influencers on sustainable products and best practices.

“Our ability to innovate and deliver energy-conscious cooling, heating and HVACR products makes a significant impact on the global energy consumption landscape,” said Chris Day, Rheem’s Vice resident of Product Strategy and Engineering. “Likewise, our commitment to innovative contractor and plumber training is a key part of meeting our sustainability goals for 2025.”

In addition, Rheem continues to launch new products that are environmentally friendly and cost-effective for consumers.

“We are committed to continuous innovation in our product portfolio that strives to exceed industry efficiency standards where possible. said Stacey Gearhart, Rheem’s Vice President of Product Management and Channel Marketing. “We want to reduce our customers’ carbon footprint while also reducing their energy bills.”

Each year, the ENERGY STAR program honors a group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements. ENERGY STAR Award Winners lead their industries in the production, sale, and adoption of energy-efficient products, services, and strategies. These efforts are essential to fighting the climate crisis and protecting public health.
