Star Refrigeration Ltd, UK and Controlled Environments Construction, Inc US (CEC) announce the signing of a joint venture forming Controlled Azane Refrigeration, Inc. Rick Loesel, refrigerated and frozen food industry veteran, President, CEO of the new company notes the mission of the venture “is dedicated to being the leading provider of Low Charge Ammonia Refrigeration Systems in North America.” “This is an emerging market driven by improved risk management solutions, environmentally superior systems, more cost-efficient offerings, reduced regulatory compliances, and greater flexibility and even portability opportunities.” Star’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Andy Pearson notes the new venture is built on the leadership role in industrial refrigeration that Star has held since 1970. Star is based in Glasgow, Scotland and is the largest independent refrigeration engineering company in the UK.
Most recently, Star founded Azane Inc, home of the ultra-efficient, low charge Ammonia Chillers and Freezers in the US. Now Star is teaming up with CEC focused on the applications and innovations in the freezer and temperature convertible North American markets. Gary Guesman, President of CEC, is leveraging the experience they’ve gained over the past 25 years in the Cold Storage Construction industry and the past four years dealing specifically with low charge ammonia refrigeration. This includes the development and implementation of the largest low charge ammonia system in a cold storage warehouse in the United States. BENEFITS:
