STULZ expands Hamburg production site for liquid cooling systems

STULZ GmbH has expanded its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, with a new production facility dedicated to liquid cooling solutions. The investment supports the company’s strategy to meet growing global demand for advanced cooling systems used in high performance computing and AI-driven data centres.

The new facility enables closer integration between STULZ’s R&D, product management, and service teams. According to the company, this setup improves coordination and accelerates the delivery of new liquid cooling innovations. The Hamburg site will also enhance global customer support for planners and refrigeration specialists.

STULZ’s liquid cooling portfolio includes configurable systems, chillers with free cooling functionality, and micro-modular data centre products. These solutions are designed for energy efficiency, scalability, and precise thermal management in high-density environments.

One key product manufactured at the site is the CyberCool CMU cooling distribution unit. Available in two sizes, it offers a variable output of up to 1,380 kW and is designed for flexible integration into liquid cooling infrastructures. The unit is distributed from Hamburg to EMEA and US markets, with new models in development.

“Liquid cooling solutions must be manufactured to the highest standards, with rigorously tested materials, modern quality management, efficient production processes, and qualified and experienced personnel,” said Jörg Desler, global director technology at STULZ GmbH. “With this expansion, we are demonstrating our commitment to Hamburg and creating a further basis for growth, innovation and sustainable employment.”
