Sustainable cooling in new COOP store in the Netherlands

FREOR, together with its exclusive importer and service partner Koelservice van Tol, implemented another energy-efficient project in the Netherlands. Supermarket chain COOP has opened a brand-new supermarket in Wernhout operating in the Hydroloop Glycol refrigeration system. As a company whose philosophy supports sustainability, we are always happy to supply for the client who chooses green cooling technologies.

Green and cost-efficient

The managers of the COOP store in Wernhout also attach great importance to sustainability. That is why they opted for the latest technology in refrigeration.

The newly opened COOP store operates using natural refrigerant hydrocarbon R290 in self-contained refrigerated showcases and glycol technology. In addition to being a future-proof and energy-efficient solution, the Hydroloop FREOR system allows the retailer to reuse the waste refrigeration heat for heating up the store. The solution enables significant energy cost-savings of up to 30 %.
