SWEP has officially opened a new manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China, marking a key step in its regional growth strategy and long-term investment in the Asia-Pacific market.
The inauguration, held on April 29, brought together 100 customers to celebrate the launch of the new site in the Suzhou Industrial Park Suxiang Cooperation Zone. The plant spans over 14,000 m² (approx. 150,700 ft²) and includes modern office buildings, a customer showroom, and advanced manufacturing lines for producing brazed plate heat exchangers. The facility integrates automated pressing, brazing, and assembly processes, along with upgraded testing systems to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Product and Capacity Expansion
This expansion is part of SWEP’s Global Investment Program initiated in 2019, aimed at boosting production capacity across its five manufacturing locations worldwide. The Suzhou site plays a strategic role in strengthening supply capabilities close to key customers in China and the broader APAC region.
“The expanded facilities in Suzhou are pivotal for SWEP to meet current and future demands in the region. The proximity to our customers and our capabilities as a global company leverage innovation, product development, and operational excellence in the region. The new location gives us great access to skilled workforces and an open business environment,” says SWEP President Ulrika Nordqvist.
Sustainability and Global Outlook
SWEP’s investments support global efforts toward carbon neutrality by enabling sustainable HVACR solutions. The company’s reinforced production infrastructure is positioned to meet increasing demand for energy-efficient heat exchange technology, especially in fast-growing markets like China.
The Suzhou expansion underscores SWEP’s confidence in the local business climate and its commitment to long-term growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
