The Viessmann Academy is responding to the increased demand for specialists
The Viessmann Academy, the education centre of Viessmann Climate Solutions, is responding to the increased demand for specialists and structural change with an extensive range of training courses for its partners and employees. This is because the comprehensive Viessmann Climate Solutions range for energy and heating, cooling and ventilation is constantly evolving for greater climate protection. As a result, the requirements for the further training of employees and trade partners in the HVAC sector are also growing.

In order to actively support and push forward the necessary transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies in the building sector, the already generous training facilities at the headquarters in Allendorf (Eder) have been greatly expanded and extended: On 8,500 square metres of usable space and four floors, partners can now delve even deeper and more extensively into air conditioning technology and receive further education - hands-on learning can take place in training scenarios on over 100 installed devices and systems, and all technical tips and tricks can be addressed with the help of the highly experienced instructors. This makes it easier to put into practice later on. The programme covers the entire technical range of the heating and air conditioning trade: from planning and design, commissioning and installation to service and maintenance. Specially equipped training rooms covering 400 square metres are also available for certification to work with modern, climate-friendly refrigerants (the so-called "refrigeration certificate").

"To ensure the success of the energy transition, it is urgently necessary to continue expanding expertise in the HVAC sector with speed and maintain it at a high level," says Manuel Wohlfarth, Head of the Viessmann Academy. "As a HVAC training partner, we have been a leader in the industry for decades and see it as our responsibility not only to offer pioneering and climate-friendly technologies, but also to train the necessary expertise among our trade partners. And of course, is there a better place to acquire this expertise than directly from the developer and manufacturer? Last year, we were able to train more than 30,000 participants in Germany. We are particularly proud of this," adds Manuel Wohlfarth.

Flexible on-site Viessmann Academy formats and virtual live training courses with multiple camera perspectives, e.g. for commissioning heat pumps and systems, are also attracting increasing interest in the industry: In the first half of 2024, over 1,500 participants went through the virtual live training courses, which also allow direct interaction with the speakers. On-site training courses at the sales offices in Germany also play a major role and are highly frequented by partners in the region on topics such as "heat pumps", "systems" and "digitalization".

The Academy's learning opportunities are made complete by the "Viessmann.Live" online portal, which offers tech talks and product presentations, as well as news and assistance on the German Heating Act (GEG) and subsidies. A new feature is the extensive range of practical technical videos on the maintenance and servicing of Viessmann solutions, which help users to carry out the most important tasks on the appliances quickly and safely.
