Toshiba Carrier UK Honours Cool Designs for Distribution Milestone

Toshiba Carrier UK Ltd (TCUK) has honoured Cool Designs Ltd (CDL) for 15 years of successful distribution of Toshiba and CIAT products. The milestone was acknowledged at TCUK’srecent distributor conference, held at its new Stockport office.Toshiba Carrier UK Ltd (TCUK) is a joint venture between Toshiba Carrier Corporation and Carrier in the United Kingdom, and is part of Carrier.

CDL began distributing Toshiba air conditioning products in 2004 and later added CIAT when it was acquired by Carrier in 2015 and added to the TCUK portfolio.

“CDL is our longest serving UK distributor,” said TCUK business development director, Neil Hitching. “Our collaboration has been highly successful, with CDL delivering outstanding customer support for the Toshiba and CIAT ranges to its growing customer base. We look forward to continuing to develop our successful business relationship in the years to come.”

Darrel Birkett, CDL managing director, said: “We recognised early on the strength of the Toshiba brand in terms of its reliability, engineering quality and innovation. It offers customers a high-performance, high-efficiency product at an unmatched, cost-effective price. The recent addition of the CIAT air handling and chiller range extends our offering into new areas, and alongside Toshiba’s evolving range, is contributing to the growth of our business.Together, the brands enable us to offer customers complete HVAC solutions for all building types.”

CDL recently moved to a new head office on the banks of the River Tyne in Gateshead, adding 11,000 square feet of warehouse space to further improve stocking levels and customer response times, and providing an additional 3,000 square feet of office space. The new facility includes a trade counter and an enlarged air conditioning training centre, catering to increasing demand for the company’s high quality technical training courses for installers and service companies.

Following growth across the UK last year, CDL is now targeting expansion in the South, with the aim of adding a fourth site to its existing branches in Gateshead, Warrington and East Kilbride in Scotland.
