Toshiba Daiseikai 10 Wins iF Design Award 2024

Toshiba Carrier (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TCTC) announced that its Toshiba-branded residential ductless hi-wall air conditioning system Daiseikai10, was recognized as a winner of the product design category of the iF Design Award 2024 for its outstanding design. This achievement comes as a result of a collaborative submission with Design Division of Toshiba Corporation.

The new aesthetic of the Daikeikai 10 – its natural wood grille, sourced from PEFC-certified sustainable forests as well as the plastic components made from recycled materials – helps reduce the amount of virgin plastic used, and as a result, help reduce its global impact. Along with its sleek design harnessing the wood’s grain, texture and color, the high energy efficiency that the Daiseikai 10 delivers was a contributing factor of it being recognized for this award.

TCTC was also commended as a co-winner of the iF Design Award with Toshiba’s Design Division for its residential ductless hi-wall air conditioning system Toshiba HAORI, whose innovative design with a rounder grille and versatile fabric cover has led strong sales in Europe
and Asia since its launch in 2021.

“Winning this award is a testament not only to our dedication as a leading provider of highquality and high energy-efficiency HVAC products and solutions, but also to our tireless endeavor in the pursuit of one-of-the-kind innovations driven by the same DNA that brought the development and commercialization of the world’s first inverter air conditioner with our intense customer-centric focus,” said Robert Chiang, Vice President, Technology and Innovation, HVAC Asia Pacific, Carrier. “This award reaffirms our continued commitment to excellence, sustainability and innovation to address challenges faced by our customers and planet.”

The iF Design Award is an international and prestigious design competition organized annually by iF International Forum Design GmbH / Hannover, one of the oldest independent design institutions in the world.
