Carrier Transicold France’s Lyon-Corbas and Strasbourg service centers have become the first in the Carrier Transicold service centers’ network to earn Cemafroid’s CertiCold Pharma designation, verifying quality performance and temperature control for refrigeration equipment used in the transportation of healthcare products.
Cemafroid, an independent certification agency focused on cold chain compliance in France, issues the CertiCold Pharma designation as a seal of quality for cold chain equipment used in the transport of healthcare products. The certification process involves an on-site audit that includes quality assessment of equipment, temperature measurement tools, thermal mapping field testing and process robustness completed in an accredited laboratory.
“Over the last 18 months, we worked closely with our customers to develop high quality refrigeration systems and services to address the needs of pharmaceutical transporters,” said Jean Pascal Vielfaure, managing director, Carrier Transicold, Southern Europe. “Our technicians received special training, measuring tools and equipment that allowed the service centers to meet Cemafroid’s stringent standards. The Certicold Pharma service center designation granted by Cemafroid rewards the hard work and commitment of our service team members.”
The remaining Carrier Transicold France service centers will participate in the audit within the next year.
