U-3ARC, Centro Studi Galileo, New Cold Akademy form Burkina Faso RACHP training hub

U-3ARC, Centro Studi Galileo (CSG) and New Cold Akademy (NCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on March 25, 2026, on the sidelines of the MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort trade show in Italy. The agreement aims to strengthen RACHP training in Africa through a technical hub in Ouagadougou, the headquarters of U-3ARC.

The MoU is the second partnership between U-3ARC and CSG, following an agreement signed in Tunis in 2024. According to the source, the new step brings European RACHP expertise to Africa through a hub positioned at a strategic regional crossroads.

New Cold Akademy said its roadmap includes training 250 basic refrigeration and AC technicians per year, 500 cold-chain equipment users annually, and 1,000 AC equipment users each year. The plan also includes training and certifying 100 high-level RACHP technicians annually to international standards, alongside tailored training modules for specific industries.

Marco Buoni, CEO of Centro Studi Galileo, described the partnership as strategic. “This is our second collaboration in Africa with U-3ARC. Having a hub on the continent is essential, and Ouagadougou meets this need. We must be present alongside African professionals. Centro Studi Galileo is transferring thirty years of Italian RACHP expertise to Africa.”

According to U-3ARC Vice-President Saïd El Harch, the agreement will support the dissemination of knowledge aligned with international standards and contribute to the professionalization of the sector. The partnership also supports U-3ARC’s mission to unite sector actors for a green transition as demand grows in Africa for cold-chain and climate infrastructure.
