Vertiv has inaugurated a new Vertiv Academy training centre in Frankfurt, Germany, aiming to expand technical training and customer support across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The facility will serve as a regional hub to develop engineering talent and support service delivery for digital infrastructure in an AI-driven environment.
The new academy offers hands-on training in thermal management, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and switchgear technologies. It includes dedicated training zones with real equipment for scenario-based exercises and fault simulations. More than 100 certification and educational courses are available, focused on power, cooling, and digital infrastructure systems.
“The opening of our Frankfurt Academy marks a fundamental step in our regional strategy, reinforcing Vertiv’s commitment to deliver best-in-class service and customer support,” said Karsten Winther, president for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). “This key location will enable us to better serve the European market through faster knowledge transfer and enhanced service delivery.”
Phil Cullerton, vice president of Services EMEA at Vertiv, added: “In the AI era, services are more critical than ever. This Academy represents a strategic investment in people – our teams, partners, and customers.”
Vertiv Academy was established in 2007 and now includes 15 training locations across EMEA. The global network comprises 30 academies and learning centres, including two hubs in Italy: Bologna for power systems and Tognana for thermal management. Courses are led by certified trainers following a standardised curriculum developed by Vertiv’s Global Learning Centre of Excellence.
