Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions expands the Executive Board of Directors

Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions expands the Executive Board of Directors by appointing Joachim Schlichtig as Chief Technology Officer and Udo Laeis as Chief Sales Officer. Following the successful evolution of the Refrigeration Solutions Business Area since 2017 and the ambition to achieve a market leading position within Europe, the new Board members will support the further growth next to the current Board members Frank Winters (CEO) and Michael Luz (CFO).
Udo Laeis joins Viessmann Refrigeration on July 1st, 2020 to become the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and to take the responsibility for all Sales, Distribution and Service organizations within the Refrigeration Solutions Business Area.
“Udo Laeis brings with him over 25 years of solid experience from the refrigeration business. He has previously worked within Linde Kältetechnik and most recently as the General Manager for the DACH region in Carrier Commercial Refrigeration. He strengthens our sales strategies and customer reach within the 20 countries in Europe, where we have local market presence currently, and supports our market entry into new territories“, - says Frank Winters, CEO of Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions.
Joachim Schlichtig will take the role as Chief Technical Officer (CTO). He is responsible for all Manufacturing Operations as well as the Development Processes within Refrigeration Business Area. Joachim Schlichtig is promoted to the Board having held the Managing Director position of Viessmann
Refrigeration factory in Porvoo, Finland, for the past three years. He will transfer these duties during the remainder of this year.
Frank Winters says: “Joachim Schlichtig joined Viessmann Group in 2010 and has done excellent work with the turnaround programme of our factory in Finland. His international experience from several manufacturing and business development functions will drive our supply chain capabilities further. Refrigeration Solutions has currently three manufacturing locations, two in Germany and one in Finland, and the Business Area’s manufacturing footprint will be developed to meet the highest quality and productivity standards to enable our growth targets“.
Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions is looking to expand its product and service portfolio for Food Retailing, Food Services, Food and Beverage Industries as well as the Health Care and Life Science markets. Sustainable and innovative refrigeration solutions are presented by over 1.500 employees and the Business Area has been rapidly expanding both organically and inorganically. Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions provides where required full turnkey and after sales services.
The Executive Board of Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions will in the future report to the Group Supervisory Board consisting of external specialists and shareholder representatives. For the short term the Executive Board reports to the Board of Viessmann Family Holding.
