Williams celebrates this year’s long-serving employees

Williams Refrigeration, based in Lynn, has honoured eight employees for reaching major career milestones, totalling 190 years of service between them. The recognition includes six employees with 20 years at the company, one with 30 years, and one celebrating 40 years.

The achievements were marked with a special lunch for all staff and the presentation of gift awards to the long-serving employees.

Among those recognised, production operative Alan Wilson reflected on his 20 years at Williams, highlighting the welcoming environment and opportunities to learn new skills. Continuous improvement supervisor Thomas Waldron, also with 20 years at the company, praised the daily variety of work and training opportunities, noting his progress to level 4 of a Continuous Improvement course.

Warehouse colleagues Jason Brockwell and Gary Rump began their careers at Williams on the same day 20 years ago. Jason recalled the variety of tasks and memorable company events, while Gary was noted for having missed only one day of work due to sickness in that time.

“I am delighted and very proud to be celebrating the long service of eight colleagues who collectively have given nearly 200 years of loyal service to Williams,” said Tim Smith, managing director of Williams. “Their extensive knowledge and experience perfectly illustrate the high level of quality we aspire to, and clearly demonstrate the depth of expertise and skills that has made Williams synonymous with quality and performance.”

Those recognised were:

40 years – Adrian Wilkinson
30 years – Adrian Gosling
20 years – Gary Rump, Jason Brockwell, Richard Goodacre, Teresa Boddy, Alan Wilson, Thomas Waldron
