The HVAC World Student Competition was held in South Korea.

The Europe representative, Joao Mota, winner of the REHVA Student Competition, was the lucky winner of the competition. This is the third year in a row that a REHVA Student Competition winner wins the HVAC World Competition.

Initiated by REHVA, the HVAC World Student Competition was organised for the first time during the 12th CLIMA World Congress in 2016 in Aalborg, Denmark, in cooperation with ASHRAE, CAHVAC, FAIAR, ISHRAE, SAREK and SHASE. Each MoU has the right to pick a student to represent their Association in the competition.

This year, five students participated in the competition.

Junhyeok Jang and Hyejun You – SAREK/Korea, arrived second. Yashu Zhao – CAHVAC/China secured the third place, and Yashu Zhao – CAHVAC/China won the prize for best poster. ASHRAE representatives, Ahmad Faiz Khan and Amanda Webb arrived fifth.
