XVII European Conference - The Latest Technology in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

The 17th edition of the European Conference on technological development in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, organized by “Centro Studi Galileo,” is taking place from June 9thto June 10th. This year, the event will be held in the Congress Hall of the Politecnico University of Milano and will focus on new refrigerants and new European and international regulations. The XVII European Conference has been awarded the prestigious Presidency of the Council of Ministers and will be attended by leading industry researchers and experts, as well as senior international association chairpersons (ASHRAE, AHRI, EPEE, ASERCOM and AREA). The event is organized in cooperation with the United Nations Environment (UNEP), the International Refrigeration Institute (IIR), the Association of Cold Ice Technicians (ATF) and the European Energy Center (EEC-ECT). Delegations from 21 countries and 4 continents will also attend the conference, and will present and discuss the latest official laws and regulations to control the emissions of fluorocarbon gas (F-Gas) and the growing opportunities given by recent eco-friendly alternatives. 5 sessions are scheduled to take place, beginning at 9:00am on Friday, June 9th until June 10th:

  • New refrigerants and perspectives in reference to Regulation 517/2014, F -GAS regulation and energy savings
  • New components and equipment in relation to new refrigerants, energy saving, and environmental issues
  • F-GAS 517/2014 regulation, European and international phase down, certifications and licenses
  • New control technologies, the cold chain, cold storage and transport, and food conservation
  • Renewable energy cooling
Danfoss will be represented at this conference by Torben Funder Kristensen, Head of Public & Industry Affairs Danfoss, who will present on Refrigeration Plants as Beneficial Energy Conversion Facilitators in the second session on Friday, June 9th.
