Arneg has introduced PRISMA, a range of transcritical CO2 refrigeration units for mini-markets and small retail stores. The outdoor-installable units are available in both normal- and low-temperature versions and are designed to combine a compact footprint with integrated system architecture.
The range integrates the gas cooler inside the unit structure, which reduces the overall footprint, simplifies installation and removes the need for external components. Arneg said this configuration is intended for urban sites and confined technical spaces where available space is limited.
PRISMA includes three versions. The single-fan model is the most compact in the range and is aimed at smaller stores. The two-fan version is 1,900 mm (approx. 74.8 in) long, while the four-fan model is 2,550 mm (approx. 100.4 in) long.
According to Arneg, the units use NT and LT reciprocating compressors, EC axial or radial fans, integrated heat recovery, and an oil separator with built-in tank. The company said the system is designed for stable operation in ambient temperatures up to 45 °C (113 °F).
PRISMA uses CO2 (R744) refrigerant. Arneg said the refrigerant choice supports compliance with European regulations and lower environmental impact, while selected materials and an anti-corrosion system are intended to protect the structure in outdoor environments.
