Azane launches new condensing units for cold storage warehousing at 2019 IIAR Conference

Azane Inc, Star Refrigeration’s low charge ammonia manufacturer for the US market, is set to launch a new and improved packaged Azanefreezer 2.0 at the esteemed IIAR Conference in Phoenix, Arizona on March 3-6.

Combining exceptional efficiency, ultimate flexibility and market leading quality, the refined Azanefreezer 2.0 is the natural solution for cold storage warehousing and food processing applications. Manufactured in the USA by Azane Inc, the low charge air cooled system reduces running costs even further than its predecessor, which was already proven to far exceed best-practice guidelines based on data from dozens of installations. The unveiling of the new product range follows the launch of the state-of-the-art Azanechiller 2.0 last year.

The Azanefreezer 2.0 reduces ammonia charge by up to 96% compared to traditional ammonia systems, increasing safety and diminishing regulatory burden while avoiding future regulation and higher running costs of HFC refrigerants. As several US states beginning to unleash synthetic refrigerant legislation and phasedown plans, the availability and price of these global warming gases has generated yet another surge of interest in future-proof, natural refrigerant options. With an established track record of reliable operation of over 20 years, Azane’s cutting edge technology will be showcased at the IIAR Conference to demonstrate the ownership cost benefits it brings to the industry.

Caleb Nelson, VP Business Development of Azane Inc said, “The sweet-spot for the Azanefreezer has always been cold storage warehousing and so we’ve added features which make the Azanefreezer 2.0 even more uniquely suited for the application. For example, the addition of true variable compressor Vi optimizes the Azanefreezer efficiency and brings something totally unique in a distributed system package. The updated product brings an allowance for an even lower minimum condensing temperature and gives us an exceptionally efficient solution for convertible rooms as well.

“Altogether, we have reduced running costs by 10% at low temperature and by over 20% at chill temperature. Other physical improvements reduce maintenance costs further and extend life-span with the use of stainless steel piping, stainless steel electrical cabinets, and improved insulation systems.

In another exiting announcement, Azane has confirmed that every Azanefreezer 2.0 and Azanechiller 2.0 now come standard with Ethos®, Star Refrigeration’s award winning refrigeration plant performance optimization and energy monitoring system. This remote monitoring technology has the power to further reduce energy costs and monitor ouptput 24 hours a day.

Mr Nelson added, “Ethos® is extremely exceptional as it combines the left brain work (data acquisition) with the right brain work (knowing how to leverage the data to actually save energy), the latter of which is commonly the missing piece in equivalent energy management systems. Refrigeration end users will now benefit from a specialist refrigeration monitoring system and will receive valuable recommendations for cost saving via a live web-based dashboard without any additional hardware costs”.

Visit Azane at booth #802 to discover the natural alternative to global warming causing F-gases and the benefits of a pre-engineered, self-contained packaged unit. Attendees of the IIAR Conference will be the first to view the re-engineered Azanefreezer 2.0, showcasing the industry’s innovation and sustainability efforts. There is also a chance to win an Amazon gift card by playing a short trivia game.
