Carrier China Introduces New Generation of Variable Refrigerant Flow Systems for Residential and Commercial Buildings

Carrier China has launched the new XCT8 variable refrigerant flow (VRF) series, reinforcing its momentum and focus on customers in the light commercial HVAC segment. The new XCT8 series is manufactured in Carrier’s Nanhai, Foshan factory to meet the needs of Chinese and global customers with an unyielding commitment to quality, technology and energy savings.

The new XCT8 direct current frequency conversion VRF systems exceed China’s GB 21454-2008 national energy efficiency standard for multi-connected air conditioner heat pump units and address gaps of some previous generation models. The series is based on refrigerant cooling technology that broadens the operating range and heating capacity for winter months through the adoption of enhanced vapor injection high-temperature jet enthalpy technology, producing enough heat even in low temperatures.

For consumers, the introduction of the new XCT8 VRF series provides them with a more comfortable indoor climate all year round, and quieter operation than the previous generation. For commercial spaces, the new XCT8 VRF series combines the reliability and stability of more than a hundred years of Carrier air conditioning comfort and performance that can be scaled to meet climate control needs with all the advantages of high-energy efficiency in different types of buildings.

“We firmly believe that the new XCT8 VRF series is an essential step in the light commercial business, bringing higher standards of comfortable living to our China customers while showcasing Carrier’s commitment to creating a more sustainable environment for people and the planet,” said Titus Yu, Managing Director, Carrier HVAC North Asia.
