Carrier launches AiroVision 39CV for precision cooling in European data centres

Carrier has introduced the AiroVision 39CV Computer Room Air Handler (CRAH), a new precision cooling unit designed for medium to large-scale data centres, expanding its QuantumLeap Solutions portfolio. The unit is developed and manufactured in Europe by Carrier, part of Carrier Global Corporation.

The 39CV offers a cooling capacity from 20 to 250 kW and is designed for high energy efficiency, operating with elevated chilled water temperatures to lower Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). It includes a built-in smart controller for real-time monitoring, adaptive control and native integration with Building Management Systems (BMS), customisable for specific operational needs.

The system is fully factory-integrated to reduce on-site labour and commissioning time. Key reliability features include an Auto Transfer Switch and ultra capacitors to support service continuity in critical environments.

According to Carrier, the 39CV supports energy optimisation strategies, enabling external chillers to operate more efficiently and allowing for free cooling. The solution is intended to help data centre operators manage increasing thermal loads, improve energy performance and scale infrastructure more efficiently.

“The 39CV is a strategic addition to our QuantumLeap Solutions portfolio, designed to help data centre operators address today’s most pressing challenges: increasing thermal loads from higher computing densities, the need to reduce energy consumption to meet sustainability targets and the pressure to deploy solutions quickly and efficiently,” said Michel Grabon, EMEA Marketing and Market Verticals Director at Carrier.
