Carrier Transicold Unveils OptimaLINE Container Refrigeration Unit

Providing increasingly sustainable choices in transport refrigeration, Carrier Transicold is introducing the new OptimaLINE container refrigeration unit, which offers various enhancements, including up to 15% fuel efficiency improvements.

“We are committed to listening to our customers and providing exceptional solutions to meet their needs,” said Vineet Kashyap, Vice President & General Manager, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold. “OptimaLINE boosts fuel efficiency to operate sustainably while reducing operating expenses for our customers.”

OptimaLINE takes advantage of multiple fundamental robust design advances, including a variable speed scroll compressor that has a permanent magnet motor driven by a variable frequency drive. This enables the system to operate at optimal levels, under different ambient conditions, setpoints and even at different cooling loads.

Key features of the OptimaLINE system include:

  • Maintaining high-energy efficiency at all operating points at all load conditions with outstanding performance in terms of efficiency and reliability.
  • Lowering annual energy costs by up to 15% compared to previous Carrier units.*
  • Providing a greater reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 40% compared to previous Carrier units.*

The OptimaLINE unit seamlessly integrates with Carrier Transicold’s Lynx Fleet telematics platform, enabling capabilities such as Reefer Health analytics, remote monitoring and control of the refrigeration system, GPS location data, geofencing and more.

The OptimaLINE refrigeration unit supports Carrier’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) goal of reducing its customers’ carbon footprint by more than 1 gigaton by 2030.

Learn more about the OptimaLINE refrigeration unit and speak with the Carrier Transicold team at Booth E30 at the Intermodal Europe show, held Oct. 10-12 at the RAI in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
