Castel has introduced the 6531E series ball valves with integrated bypass, targeting enhanced efficiency and simplified installation in CO2 (R744) refrigeration systems. Designed for both subcritical and transcritical applications, the new valves support lower environmental impact and operational costs.
The integrated bypass design eliminates the need for parallel check valves and brazing operations, reducing installation time and material usage. These valves are suited for critical functions such as protecting low-temperature evaporators, maintaining flash gas valves, and facilitating service in frequently accessed system lines.
Certified for safety and reliability, each 6531E valve is pressure-tested up to 90 bar (1305 psi) and meets PED 2014/68/EU, UL STD 207, and other international standards. The compact design enables faster maintenance while improving overall system uptime.
"Castel’s 6531E ball valves with integrated bypass offer a smart, efficient solution that simplifies system architecture and reduces maintenance complexity," the company stated.
The series is already in use across a range of industrial refrigeration applications and reinforces Castel’s focus on sustainable innovation with over 60 years of experience in the HVACR sector.
