Daikin release of the new FWF-D 2 x 2 Fancoil ceiling-mounted cassette

Daikin has announced the release of the new FWF-D 2 x 2 Fancoil ceiling-mounted cassette, incorporating new open communication protocols that allow combination with other commercially available controllers for greater flexibility and specification choice. In addition, the new unit features a range of other enhancements designed to improve energy efficiency and simplicity of installation.

Based on the BLDC fan motor, the FWF-D Fancoil unit delivers precise operational control with a four-way air discharge for maximum airflow and offers a cooling capacity from two to five kW. The open protocol enables easy integration of third-party controllers.

Energy consumption has been reduced thanks to the FWF-D DC fan motor and drain pump.

Available as a choice of two- or four-pipe configurations, the new FWF-D cassette comes with options for two- or three-way on/off valves, available as option or fitted on the unit. Thermal insulation as standard accessory is designed to fit the shape of the valve for simpler fitting.

Low-sound performance make the FWF-D an ideal solution for working environments and shared spaces. Supplied as standard with an 835mm lift, the drain pump increases flexibility while reducing installation times.

Carrying through the high design standards that have earned Daikin global recognition, the new FWF-D Fancoil cassette unit fits into a standard 600 by 600mm standard architectural module.

Cassettes are available with a standard BYFQ60B3 air diffusion panel or alternatively as a fully flat decorative panel (requires additional adaptor) in a white (BYFQ60CW) or a silver/white colour (BYFQ60CS) combination for maximum concealment and style.

The FWF-D fan coil unit provides heating and cooling to create a comfortable environment for commercial spaces including offices, hotels and retail use.
