German manufacturer ebm‑papst has expanded its AxiBlade series with the launch of AxiBlade.Perform axial fans in EC technology. Designed for use in refrigeration and air conditioning systems such as evaporators, condensers, and chillers, the new fans offer higher airflow performance and flexible installation options.
The AxiBlade.Perform fans are available in diameters of 860 mm and 950 mm, supporting increased volume flows. A newly developed plastic wall ring stabilizes airflow in both suction and pressure directions. The fans feature efficient impellers made of composite material with profiled blade geometry, integrated winglets, guide vanes, and a diffuser, enabling high energy efficiency and low noise over a wide operating range.
Installation is simplified through a plug-and-play design, allowing direct 1:1 replacement. The wall ring supports mounting in flat, suction, or pressure-side configurations, in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Additional features include a side-mounted terminal box, four pressure taps for measurement, and optional preparation for a flow grid to reduce tonal noise. A heating band can also be installed in the wall ring to prevent ice buildup in evaporator use.
The fans support MODBUS-RTU and ebm‑papst’s NEXAIRA cloud connectivity, allowing real-time data monitoring and predictive maintenance in smart HVAC systems.
Designed with IP55 protection and an operating range from -40 °C to +60 °C, the fans meet environmental class H2 and comply with the Ecodesign Directive and Fan Regulation 2026, offering a future-proof solution for OEMs and operators.
