Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson, releases a new range of pressure switches for R744 (CO2) applications with fixed switch point settings.
The distinct features of the pressure switches make it the ideal product in today’s market for use in CO2 systems.
The CS3 acts as a protection device for compressors in situations where the system pressure exceeds the desired limits. The pressure switches are available in both automatic and manual reset versions. The automatic reset versions offer a narrow differential between cut-out and cut-in, reducing the idle time of the compressor in case of sudden pressure increase. The contacts are designed as single pole double throw for control/alarm function and status reporting. Moreover, the pressure switches feature a 2 million cycle reliability. Customer-specific versions with fixed factory cut-out settings can be made available from 40 bar up to 140 bar. All versions are certified by Notified Body and comply with highest hazard category of pressure equipment directive as safety protection device.
