At the international trade fair Mostra Convegno Expocomfort in Milan GEA presented solutions from their product portfolio.
In line with the current trend in efforts toward natural refrigerants, GEA showed smooth-running and efficient compressor solutions. In addition to subcritical and transcritical CO2 compressors, these solutions also include the new compressor series HG44e for use with hydrocarbons. With its optimized engine components and special oil filling the HG44e HC offers optimal performance, even under very demanding operating conditions. Hydrocarbons have therefore been established in numerous applications, for example in the supermarket sector, with another alternative of natural refrigerants besides CO2. With four model sizes, the HG44e HC series covers the range of maximum displacements from 41.3 m³ / h to 67,0 m³ / h.
Another highlight on the GEA booth is the compressor model EX-HG88e – the largest GEA compressor which is suitable for use in hazardous environments. Thus GEA is the first and only European manufacturer that offers semi-hermetic compressors for zone 1 and 2 ATEX- and recently also IECEx-certified. Therefore the compressors have international accepted Certificates of Conformity.
