HOF CryoBlizzard Integrates Mirai Intex Cooling for Sustainable Ultra-Low Temperatures

HOF Sonderanlagenbau GmbH has developed the HOF CryoBlizzard, an industrial cooling system that operates at ultra-low temperatures without using fluorinated refrigerants. The system features Mirai Intex’s air cycle cooling technology, which allows temperatures below -80°C while eliminating high global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants.

Conventional ultra-low-temperature systems often rely on refrigerants like liquid nitrogen or fluorinated gases (HFCs and HCFCs), which contribute to environmental concerns. In contrast, the Mirai Intex technology used in CryoBlizzard employs a closed-loop air cycle, ensuring zero direct emissions and enhanced energy efficiency.

By adopting air as the working fluid, the system reduces operational risks and improves sustainability in industrial applications. The combination of HOF Sonderanlagenbau’s system design and Mirai Intex’s cooling technology highlights a shift towards environmentally friendly refrigeration solutions.
