Daikin Industries, Ltd. will release Urusara room air conditioner. The large class outdoor unit is equipped with a newly developed compressor and heat exchanger to improve energy efficiency.
The company focused on energy savings with stable operation (operation that maintains the room temperature after reaching a set temperature), which accounts for approximately 80% of the air conditioner's operating time. This product is newly equipped with an "automatic energy saving" function, which uses a unique swing-type compressor to reduce energy consumption by approximately 20% during stable operation. When you press the Automatic Energy Saving button to start the air conditioner, the air conditioner automatically detects the set temperature according to the outside temperature and performs cooling or heating operation, which saves energy. Additionally, by pressing the Automatic Energy Saver button after starting normal cooling or heating mode, you can save energy at your preferred temperature setting. In addition to the regular AI Comfort Auto mode, designed to enhance comfort, it features an energy-saving system that prioritizes efficient driving and offers a variety of options.
Since large models designed for large spaces such as living rooms consume relatively large amounts of electricity, Daikin has also worked to improve energy efficiency by redesigning the main parts of the outdoor unit. “By improving the efficiency of the compressor, which accounts for about 80% of the electricity consumed by air conditioners, and optimizing the heat exchanger, we achieved the energy savings target by 2027,” the company said.
