Qvantum introduces several new heat pump models, enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and digital integration. The latest products - QA+QH Air to Water, QE Exhaust Air, and QG12 Ground Source - offer advanced technology, smart controls, and natural refrigerants.
QA+QH Air to Water: Smart Heating and Cooling with Grid Optimization
The QH indoor module is designed for seamless integration with renewable energy and modern power grids. It features a patented thermal battery capable of storing heat up to 90°C, allowing users to optimize energy consumption by charging during periods of low electricity prices or renewable energy surplus.
With built-in API communication, QH enables automated energy trading, helping users save money while contributing to grid stability. Future updates may also allow users to be compensated for their heat pump's participation in flexibility markets. Paired with the QA outdoor unit, this system uses R290 refrigerant, ensuring minimal environmental impact while delivering reliable heating and cooling.
QE Exhaust Air: High Efficiency with Low Noise
Qvantum QE combines heating, cooling, ventilation, and hot water in a single, compact unit. Designed for energy efficiency and comfort, it integrates advanced rapid discharge defrosting for reliable performance in cold conditions.
The system operates at one of the lowest noise levels in its class, making it a discreet yet powerful addition to homes and multi-family buildings where ventilation can be used as an energy source.
QG12 Ground Source: Modular Design for Flexibility and Sustainability
The QG12 ground source heat pump, launching in late 2025, builds on Qvantum’s modular approach. It features two smaller 6 kW heat pump modules instead of a single large compressor, optimizing efficiency and simplifying maintenance.
"QG12 shares the same design, components, buffer tank system, software, and smart controls as our QE model," says Michael Lindahl, Development Manager at Qvantum. "Its modular design makes installation easier and premium heat pump technology more affordable."
With R290 refrigerant, a 70°C supply line temperature, and a built-in accumulator tank, QG12 is designed for long-term efficiency and sustainability.
QGM Heat Pump for Urban Fossil-Free Heating
Qvantum introduces the QGM heat pump, an efficient alternative to traditional gas boilers, designed for urban apartments and semi-detached houses in Europe. As cities move toward fossil-free heating, the QGM offers a compact, 6 kW capacity solution that fits in small spaces, even under kitchen sinks, making it a prime replacement for outdated systems.
Unlike conventional heat pumps, the QGM uses 10-20°C circulating water from thermal networks instead of relying on outdoor air, providing both heating and cooling. The wall-mounted hydro unit is pre-plumbed and includes all essential functions, delivering on-demand domestic hot water and featuring an integrated buffer tank to reduce energy costs by avoiding peak electricity prices.
The QGM's modular design and patented technologies ensure adaptability across various energy grids, positioning it as a future-proof solution for urban heating. This small yet formidable heat pump supports active cooling, contributing to the transformation toward fossil-free cities.
Smart Comfort: 100% Digital Heating Solutions
Qvantum’s software-driven platform ensures remote updates, seamless integration with energy systems, and adaptive controls.
"Our goal is to handle complexity under the hood so that installers and users have a smooth experience," says Jacob Skogström, SW Product Manager at Qvantum.
With self-optimizing controls, Qvantum heat pumps adjust to energy prices and grid conditions while offering full manual control when needed. Digital tools for installers and consultants simplify installation, monitoring, and maintenance.
By combining advanced technology with sustainable refrigerants, Qvantum’s latest innovations aim to shape the future of energy-efficient heating and cooling.
