When a client needed an air conditioning solution for a warehouse in Padua, Italy, they turned to Euroklimat. The solution was an outdoor system consisting of two Euroklimat RKO.E 1402 air cooled water chillers totaling 510 kW cooling capacity.
Because of it’s low GWP of 3, and almost no ozone depletion potential, R-290(propane) was chosen for this application. This system demonstrates how, even for such a high cooling requirement, Propane is a practical alternative to traditional refrigerants.
