Sanhua launches EBV electric ball valves for precise refrigerant control

Sanhua has introduced its EBV series of electric ball valves, offering precise control of refrigerant flow for a wide range of HVACR applications. The valves are available in 2-way and 3-way versions, supporting functions such as shut-off, fluid injection control, heat recovery, and flow distribution.

The 2-way valves provide reliable sealing when closed, functioning similarly to solenoid valves but without associated noise or fluid hammer. The 3-way versions enable fluid routing between different circuit sections or simultaneously between two exchangers.

Equipped with stepper motors—either unipolar or bipolar, separated or integrated—the valves offer fine flow rate control with 2800 to 4000 steps depending on the model. The motors operate on 12VDC and consume power only when actuated.

The EBV valves are suitable for use with all HFC refrigerants, with a working pressure of 50 bar and an operating temperature range from -40 to +120°C (-40 to +248°F). The valves are PED approved and UL certified for the US market.

Most models are bi-directional, supporting full refrigerant flow with minimal pressure drops in both directions. Available diameters range from 3/8 to 2 1/8 in for 2-way valves and from ½ to 7/8 in for 3-way versions. A stainless steel body ensures corrosion resistance, and copper fittings simplify installation.
