SPX Cooling Technologies, LLC has introduced higher-capacity models of its Marley OlympusV adiabatic fluid coolers. The expanded range is intended to offer more flexible cooling options for commercial HVAC systems, industrial processes, and data centers.
According to SPX Cooling, the OlympusV line combines the water-saving characteristics of air-cooled systems with the energy efficiency of water-based cooling. “These products limit site water usage to only those times when ambient temperatures and cooling loads are at their highest, typically operating dry for the majority of annual hours,” said Marshal Zabel, Senior Global Product Manager.
The new model sizes provide up to three times the original capacity. They are designed to simplify installation and reduce space requirements in projects with high heat rejection needs, including manufacturing and mission-critical operations.
Many OlympusV models are now certified under the Cooling Technology Institute (CTI) Standard 201 program for dry operation. Certified model information is available via the CTI certification directory.
“CTI certified dry performance combined with accurate and genuine adiabatic ratings enables customers to better align projected water and energy requirements with real-world usage in their applications,” Zabel added.
Key features include smart controls, such as the CoolBoost Opti AD panel, which adjusts water and energy usage based on operational needs. Other components include electronically commutated (EC) fans, stainless steel coils, and a recirculating water distribution system aimed at enhancing performance and extending adiabatic pad life.
