ZONEFIRST Launches A2L-Compatible Solutions for New Refrigerant Standards

ZONEFIRST, a leading HVAC zoning systems manufacturer, unveils a range of products designed for A2L refrigerant regulations. As the industry moves to environmentally friendly refrigerants, ZONEFIRST ensures safety and efficiency in residential and commercial systems.

A2L refrigerants, with lower Global Warming Potential, are mildly flammable, requiring enhanced safety features like leak detection and ventilation. New HVAC systems must include leak detection mechanisms that trigger shutdowns and open dampers to prevent refrigerant build-up.

ZONEFIRST's A2L-compliant products guarantee regulation compliance and superior performance:

- 24V Spring Return Damper Systems: Use with 24V power-closed, spring-open dampers connects through HVAC leak detection contacts. Leaks activate the fan and open dampers.

- Plug-In and 3-Wire Power Systems: A2LR relay disconnects zone thermostats, stopping zone calls and opening dampers during a leak. Compatible with all ZONEFIRST panels, it installs easily.

James Foster, ZONEFIRST's Marketing Manager, emphasized, "Our new A2L-compliant products highlight our commitment to innovation and customer safety, aligning with industry trends toward sustainable solutions."
