The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) has released the programme outline for its upcoming Adaptation 2025 conference, which will focus on refrigeration challenges linked to rising global temperatures.
Organised around three central themes—managing risks, environmental and social governance, and the future landscape—the programme will address adaptation strategies for existing buildings, vulnerabilities in the global cold chain, and low-carbon cooling in extreme heat conditions.
Workshops will include sessions on topics such as refrigeration data value and the impact of rising ambient temperatures on indoor air quality. The event will also feature technical paper presentations, short courses, and technical tours.
Adaptation 2025 is scheduled to take place in person from 10 to 13 August 2025 in Manchester, UK. The conference is intended to foster dialogue and innovation among professionals working on sustainable, climate-resilient refrigeration solutions.
