AEFYT presents its 1st Online Refrigeration Course

AEFYT, the benchmark association for the cold sector in Spain, presents its first Online Refrigeration Course , which will be taught on its virtual platform between October 2, 2020 and April 23, 2021, with a total of 212 hours classes distributed in 52 sessions.

This refrigeration course is an ambitious commitment by the Association of Cold Industry and its Technologies to offer comprehensive training in current refrigeration technologies. The training proposal multiplies the teaching hours with respect to the three previous Refrigeration Specialist courses that AEFYT has taught in person between 2012 and 2015, and which had 60 teaching hours, and also with respect to other specific regular courses offered by the Association.

In addition, AEFYT has brought together a group of six renowned professionals in the sector who combine teaching experience with practice in leading associated companies in the cold sector. The course's teaching team is made up of Albert Albert, Javier Blanco, Ricard Giménez, Enrique López, Juan Carlos Rodríguez and Félix Sanz, all of them highly experienced engineers.

The objective of the course is to provide extensive practical knowledge, based on the deep theoretical knowledge and field experience treasured by teachers, on the principles of refrigeration and the design of refrigeration installations of any kind. For this, it is essential to know the determination of environmental values such as the PCA, COP and TEWI for refrigerants and direct and indirect systems, calculate thermal loads, relevant construction details in the assembly of the different elements, etc. In addition, students will learn to select and calculate refrigeration system components and to perform pressure and vacuum tests. Legislative and environmental aspects also occupy a good part of the program as they are currently fundamental aspects for presenting any refrigeration project.

“ The important technological transformation that the cold sector is undergoing, as well as the effort to achieve environmental sustainability, digitization and to adapt to the legislative changes that influence it, made a comprehensive refrigeration course very necessary. Our objective is to offer a current and complete vision of the latest trends in refrigeration facilities and, for this, we could not have a better teaching team, which is going to offer a field view of the reality of our sector, "said Manuel Lamúa, AEFYT manager and course director .

The course is aimed at design engineers for refrigeration facilities, engineering managers, qualified installers and those responsible for maintenance and security of refrigeration facilities; as well as refrigerators, mechanics and technicians with knowledge of refrigeration who, from commercial facilities, want to have a knowledge of industrial refrigeration.
