AEFYT teaches teacher improvement courses at the National Reference Center for Cold and Air Conditioning of Moratalaz

The involvement of AEFYT with professional training given the importance of educating refrigeration technicians that guarantee the necessary generational renewal in the sector, writes one more chapter in collaboration with the National Cold Reference Center and the Moratalaz air conditioning, in Madrid. It involves the development and delivery of two teacher training courses, which will take place at the end of November and the beginning of December and will reach teachers chosen by the center itself.

The aim of this collaboration is to disseminate among teachers some of the latest trends in technology and legislation in the cold sector. The great evolution that, in both directions, has been experienced in recent years makes the continuous updating of teaching to respond to the real needs of the industry is especially important.

The first course revolves around the Application of Cold in the Food Industry, which constitutes one of the main cold user sectors, in addition to being a tractor sector of the Spanish economy, and, therefore, an important job opportunity for young people refrigerators. Understanding the reasons for the use of cold is essential to motivate new generations of professionals

The second of the courses is focused on the Safety Regulation of Refrigeration Facilities, approved just a year ago and of great importance for new equipment that uses slightly flammable refrigerants. AEFYT has some of the greatest experts in this text, in whose writing it has actively participated.

“Our collaboration with the Moratalaz training center has a long history. For example, in recent editions of the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration show we have jointly organized a training workshop in which students have had the opportunity to work with professionals from leading companies in the sector. With these courses organized to bring teachers some of the latest technical and legislative developments in the refrigeration sector, we hope to contribute to increasing interest and vocations in our sector ”, said Manuel Lamúa, manager of AEFYT. “We have to remember that the cold industry has full employment and, in it, it is possible to develop diversified careers in a large number of different sectors of activity. Our mission is to spread this reality among young vocational training students ”, he added.
