ASHRAE unveils 2026 Winter Conference program focused on innovation and resilience

ASHRAE has released the full technical program for its 2026 Winter Conference, scheduled for January 31 to February 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will run concurrently with the AHR Expo from February 2–4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The program includes over 100 technical sessions across nine thematic tracks, providing opportunities to earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Topics will address the integration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, energy resilience, decarbonization, and core HVAC&R practices.

Attendees can access the schedule via the ASHRAE 365 app or online platform to plan their participation in sessions, committee meetings, networking events, industry tours, and award ceremonies.

Notable sessions include a seminar on AI-driven campus energy optimization, a workshop on building services cybersecurity, and a panel discussion on next-generation refrigeration systems for supermarkets. A seminar on indoor environmental quality (IEQ) will focus on human health and performance in modern spaces.

The ASHRAE Learning Institute (ALI) will offer 21 courses approved for continuing education. A new addition, Fundamentals of District Cooling System Design (MENA), targets professionals in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia with content presented in both SI and IP units.

Four new ALI courses are also being introduced:

  • Laboratory Controls – Devices and Strategies for Proper Airflow

  • Designing Residential Ventilation Systems to Meet ASHRAE Standard 62.2

  • Demystifying Dehumidification: Designing Efficient and Effective HVAC Moisture Removal Systems

  • Decarbonization Tactics: Making Buildings Grid-Interactive

Several courses align with ASHRAE Certification exam content.

Early bird registration is open until October 31, with fees set at $885 for ASHRAE members and $1160 for non-members, which includes a one-year membership. Virtual attendance options are also available for individuals and organizations.

“The ASHRAE Winter Conference is where ideas become action,” said 2025–26 ASHRAE President Bill McQuade, P.E., CDP, Fellow ASHRAE, LEED AP. “Attendees will leave not only with fresh technical insights, but also with the relationships and inspiration to move their projects forward.”
