Chillventa 2024: Platform for innovations – focus on young companies

The world’s leading exhibition for refrigeration technology is almost booked out. Between 8 and 10 October 2024, trade visitors to Chillventa can look forward to a wide-ranging programme covering refrigeration, air-conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps. The latest industry trends will be on show at the exhibition. International start-ups and young, innovative companies are among the exhibitors industry professionals can seek out to discover the innovations. Chillventa provides the perfect opportunity to establish contact with industry professionals, manufacturers and potential customers.

Future, innovations and young companies

As the world’s leading exhibition for refrigeration technology, Chillventa actively encourages start-ups from around the world. Innovative products, solutions and services are on show at START:HUB, the area for international start-ups. Everyone keen to look into the future of the industry will find the perfect starting point in Hall 9. And right alongside, Young Innovators from Germany will be making their pitches to an international audience of industry professionals. This is where trade visitors can network with the start-ups that are the future of the industry. Core themes for 2024 include sustainability, energy efficiency, digitalization, refrigerants and much more besides.

Sponsored “Young Innovators” pavilion

Another MUST for visitors to Chillventa is the German start-up area, also in Hall 9. The “Young Innovators” special exhibition area is where up-and-coming companies present their innovative products. This pavilion is organized by NürnbergMesse. Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) sponsors participation by start-ups and new companies in leading international exhibitions.

A tip for start-ups: Anyone still keen to exhibit needs to move quickly, since there are only a few spaces left. A special feature is that, for startups based in Germany, the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) will cover up to 60 percent of the stand costs if particular criteria are met. These include having a head office and business operations in Germany, compliance with the current EU definition of a small business, and establishment within the past ten years.

Extensive supporting programme

For many years, the theme for Chillventa has been “Chillventa connecting Experts”. That also applies to the trade forums, where experts have the chance to pass on their expertise. This is a unique opportunity to network and help to shape the future of the industry.

Four trade forums offer firsthand access to top-quality professional knowledge, covering themes such as refrigeration systems, air-conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps; application, training and regulations, and also digitalization. The programme also includes special presentations, guided tours and competitions, such as the German Championship for Refrigeration Technicians. The Chillventa CONGRESS, which takes place one day before the exhibition, offers an additional platform for in-depth discussion with top-level speakers from the fields of R&D and industrial practice.
