Daikin to Showcase Data Center and Residential HVAC Innovations at AHR Expo 2026

Daikin Applied Americas and Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, subsidiaries of Daikin Industries, Ltd., will unveil new HVAC technologies at the 2026 AHR Expo, highlighting energy-efficient and sustainable solutions for mission-critical and residential applications.

At Booth C5716, Daikin will present a range of systems designed to meet the growing complexity of HVAC needs in the United States, including the demands of data centers, healthcare facilities, schools, multi-family housing, and homes.

New Daikin Applied Systems Target Mission-Critical Cooling

Daikin Applied will preview two HVAC systems designed for mission-critical environments such as data centers:

  • Magnitude® WME-C Quad Chiller: A magnetic-bearing chiller with a capacity range of 2,000 to 3,000 tons, featuring low-GWP refrigerants and advanced recovery features such as RapidRestore® and RideThrough® for power disruption resilience.

  • Pathfinder® AWV-C Fan Deck and AWM Chiller: The AWV‑C uses low-GWP R‑515B refrigerant and includes a compressor-integrated variable frequency drive and 28-fan deck. The AWM chiller is a fully packaged, air-cooled unit with oil-free magnetic-bearing compressors, designed for high performance in temperatures up to 131°F.

These products are supported by Daikin Applied’s $163 million R&D facility in Plymouth, Minnesota, which focuses on developing cooling solutions for hyperscale data centers and airside technologies.

“Cooling demands are growing increasingly complex, especially in data center environments,” said Yu Nishiwaki, Chief Operating Officer, Daikin Applied. “Operators need solutions that deliver reliability, scalability, and efficiency without compromise.”

The WME-C Quad Chiller and AWV-C are now available, with the AWM Chiller set to launch in early 2026.

Daikin Comfort Technologies Introduces R-32 and Inverter-Based Products

Daikin Comfort Technologies will present next-generation VRV and light commercial systems featuring HERO Cloud Services, which enable remote monitoring and energy optimization. Residential solutions with inverter heat pump technology are expanding into multi-family applications.

New product highlights include:

  • FIT AURORA Cold Climate Residential Heat Pumps: Inverter heat pumps with low-GWP R-32 refrigerant, designed for efficient heating and cooling in varying climates. The 2- and 3-ton units meet or exceed U.S. Department of Energy specifications for the “Cold Climate Heat Pump Challenge.”

  • NEXIO MAX Light Commercial Inverter Rooftops with R-32: A new rooftop product line offering scalable performance and flexible configurations. The NEXIO MAX tier integrates Daikin’s inverter technology for enhanced control and efficiency.

“In the last year, R-32 has fulfilled its promise as a single component refrigerant that’s easy to recycle, cost effective, and available,” said Taka Inoue, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Daikin Comfort Technologies.

Daikin’s presence at AHR Expo 2026 emphasizes its focus on addressing HVAC needs across multiple sectors, backed by global R&D and a commitment to reliability and sustainability.
