Danfoss hosts livestream training from one-of-a-kind Mobile CO₂ Training Unit

Danfoss' Mobile CO₂ Training Unit closes out its 2023 North America tour with its first-ever livestream training to provide installers, service technicians, and OEM engineers a unique opportunity to receive accessible CO₂ refrigeration systems knowledge and training virtually.

As applications for CO₂ refrigeration systems expand and urgency to transition towards a more environmentally friendly future grows, the need to understand CO₂ refrigerant technology continues to be a key differentiator for businesses across the globe.

This year, Danfoss' one-of-a-kind Mobile CO₂ Training Unit made its return to the United States for the first time since 2018, delivering the perfect blend of equipment and components for CO₂ solutions, training panels, and interactive learning modules directly to thousands of installers, service technicians, and OEM engineers across the globe that want to learn how to take full advantage of the natural refrigerant.

The industry's passion for the Mobile CO₂ Training Unit remains steadfast, so we're making it more accessible than ever before by taking things virtual - at no cost to attendees!

"Overall, our goal for this year's Mobile CO₂ Training Unit tour in the USA is twofold: To advance Danfoss' position as the global leader in CO₂ refrigeration solutions and to make both the technology and understanding of CO₂ refrigeration more accessible for industry professionals. This livestream will allow us to reach many more installers, service technicians, and OEM engineers," says Dean Groff, Food Retail – Services Contractor Manager.

On September 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM EST, dedicated Danfoss CO₂ Champions will livestream an informative, interactive training program to support industry professionals develop the skills, proficiency and knowledge needed to utilize this go-to natural refrigerant, including the following:

  • Mode 1 - Medium Temperature Transcritical
  • Mode 2 - Parallel Compression
  • Mode 3 - Parallel Compression/Ejectors
  • CO₂ vs HFCs
  • Service Tool Software (ST500)
  • AK-PC782B Pack Controller
  • CALM - CO₂ Adaptive Liquid Management Solution
  • Evaporator Control
  • Case Controller Overview
  • AK-CC55 Connect Mobile App
  • Ejector Overview

Danfoss CO₂ Champions have had incredible experiences training hundreds of passionate and skillful refrigeration professionals this year as the Mobile CO₂ Training Unit has traversed the Western and Southern US.

The Mobile CO₂ Training Unit is outfitted with an array of solutions ranging from simple gas-bypass systems to more complex parallel compression solutions with or without heat reclaim. Moreover, the training unit introduces Danfoss’ ejector technology, which industry experts recognize as key in the evolution of transcritical CO₂ refrigeration. These ejectors have the potential to enhance the energy efficiency of their systems by up to 20% on the hottest days of the year, thus solving a problem that previously hindered the use of transcritical CO₂ systems in warmer climates.

Steve Moss, CO2 Field Service Engineer, states, "having the Mobile CO₂ Training Unit allows for hands-on demonstrations that help our team get technicians from the introductory phase to a complete understanding of our CO2 solutions within a single day of training."

Sharing CO₂ insight with 800+ installers, service technicians, and OEM engineers in North America this year, along with the thousands trained by the Mobile CO₂ Training Unit over the years has been the perfect way to meet the professionals who work hands-on with Danfoss products every day and help them become experts at it to make their jobs easier. Danfoss is excited for the opportunity to expand that reach by offering virtual CO₂ training utilizing the Mobile Unit at no cost to all industry professionals.
