Frascold to Present Full-Temperature Sustainable Compressor Range at Refrigera 2025

Frascold will showcase four new compressor technologies designed for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration applications at Refrigera 2025, taking place from 5–7 November at BolognaFiere, Italy. The company’s participation aligns with its strategy of promoting sustainable innovation and decarbonisation across all temperature ranges.

The exhibition will highlight high-temperature solutions starting with the new ATEX-HT Series, which includes semi-hermetic piston compressors compatible with hydrocarbons such as propane (R290), butane, and isobutane. These compressors support operating temperatures up to 135 °C for butane, 115 °C for isobutane, and 85 °C for propane, and are suited for medium to large industrial and commercial applications.

Also on display will be the new W models of the standard piston compressor series, certified for ATEX applications. These compressors support volumetric displacements between 259 and 284 m³/h at 50 Hz and motors up to 100 HP. Their compact dimensions and high volumetric flow make them suitable for both hot and cold industrial applications, including precision systems with space constraints.

Frascold will also present its Aluminium compressor series, which builds on the FVR range and introduces ammonia (NH3) as a refrigerant. These compressors, with volumetric displacements from 315 to 470 m³/h at 50 Hz and motors from 130 to 160 HP, feature aluminium motors free of copper and coatings, supporting high airtightness and continuous operation. They are aimed at applications such as ice rinks, food storage centres, and processes requiring medium or low temperatures.

Completing the display will be the Two-Stage CO2 series, designed for low evaporation temperatures in both subcritical and transcritical conditions. The line includes 11 models across three sizes, with first-stage displacements from 1.5 to 12.6 m³/h at 50 Hz and second-stage displacements from 1.5 to 8.9 m³/h at 50 Hz. With motor ratings between 3 and 30 HP, this compact range targets sectors where space and energy efficiency are critical, such as the pharmaceutical and ice cream industries.

Frascold will also host technical study sessions in collaboration with Centro Studi Galileo during the event, focusing on the challenges and opportunities of natural refrigerants.

Ilaria Guzzetti, Event & Trade Marketing Specialist at Frascold, commented: “These four technologies demonstrate Frascold's dedication to innovation across the entire temperature spectrum, offering effective, dependable and eco-friendly solutions for all applications.”
