GCCA to Host European Cold Chain Conference 2026 in Germany

The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) has opened registration for the 29th European Cold Chain Conference, scheduled for 18–20 March 2026 in Dusseldorf, Germany. The annual event is one of Europe's key gatherings for temperature-controlled logistics professionals, bringing together operators, partners, and contractors from the food and healthcare sectors.

The conference program will address key industry topics including the impact of changing European market dynamics, developments in trade routes and digitization, the shift from F-Gases to alternative refrigerants, workforce development, the use of AI for operational improvement, and strategies for funding a low-carbon cold chain.

Participants will hear insights from international cold chain professionals, data and analysis from consultants, and perspectives from policymakers on the regulatory environment. Full details of the agenda and speakers will be announced in early 2026.

The event will also feature a Cold Chain Expo showcasing technologies aimed at improving efficiency and performance, as well as a Cold Chain Café for roundtable discussions. Attendees can join social networking receptions and register for a site visit to Picnic’s new automated fulfillment centre in Oberhausen.

Julie Hanson, GCCA Director for Europe, stated: “We are looking forward to welcoming the European cold chain to Dusseldorf in March 2026 for three days of discussion, connection and learning. This is a time of change for temperature-controlled logistics around the world, and businesses operating in Europe are presented with a unique set of challenges and opportunities.”

More than 200 professionals attended the previous edition held in Copenhagen in March 2025. Registration for the 2026 event is available at www.gcca.org/events/gcca-european-cold-chain-conference/
