LG Electronics is presenting its comprehensive component solutions for commercial rooftop HVAC systems at AHR Expo 2026 in Las Vegas, taking place from February 2–4. The lineup includes scroll compressors, electronically commutated (EC) motors, EC fans, and drives, all developed with LG’s proprietary technologies.
The solutions are designed to improve system compatibility, reliability, and service efficiency by offering key HVAC components from a single provider. This vertically integrated approach supports simplified system design and maintenance. The scroll compressor range covers capacities from 6 to 27.5 refrigeration tons (RT), with tandem and trio configurations enabling coverage up to 70 tons.
LG’s component technologies align with new U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) efficiency standards and refrigerant transition requirements scheduled for 2029. These standards emphasize partial-load performance over full-load metrics. LG’s portfolio supports various refrigerants and power configurations while maintaining consistent capacity, facilitating equipment upgrades without full system redesigns.
The compressor range includes fixed-speed models with enhanced motor efficiency and low-friction bearing designs, and two-stage models that modulate between 67% and 100% capacity. LG is also debuting large-scale EC fans featuring reinforced construction, optimized airflow, and proprietary EC motor technology for improved efficiency and quiet operation.
“Our total component solutions empower customers to develop more efficient and reliable commercial HVAC systems while simplifying service and maintenance,” said Kim Cheol, head of the Component Solution Business at LG Electronics Home Appliance Solution Company.
