Midea presents integrated “Smart in One” building solutions at AHR Expo 2026

Midea Building Technologies is showcasing its “Smart in One” portfolio of integrated building solutions at AHR Expo 2026. The company highlights technologies designed for data centers, industrial parks, and commercial buildings, including chillers, heat pumps, VRF systems, and a unified digital platform.

The MagBoost Apex Pro centrifugal chiller features Midea’s second-generation oil-free magnetic bearing system, offering a design that eliminates mechanical friction. With R1234ze(E) refrigerant, the unit reaches an IPLV of up to 9.71. It supports both R1234ze(E) and R513A refrigerants, operates at 70 dB(A), and features modular capability for up to 16 units.

For data centers, Midea offers a full-stack thermal management system including CDUs, fan walls, and chillers. The solution supports PUE levels as low as 1.2 and includes redundancy and leak-proof features for 24/7 reliability.

The company’s VRF systems include the V8 outdoor unit, operating from -30°C to 52°C with full heating at -20°C. Compatible indoor units include slim-ducted, cassette, and dual-sweep models, all integrated with smart controls via app, touchscreen, or KNX gateway.

Midea also showcases its Profit Full Inverter rooftop package unit, which provides up to 30% higher energy efficiency and maintains full output at ambient temperatures up to 46°C. The unit supports predictive maintenance via smart sensors and cloud diagnostics.

The Aqua Thermal Super modular heat pump delivers leaving water temperatures up to 65°C, with a COP of up to 3.95 and full heating capacity at 0°C, aimed at commercial high-temperature heating applications.

Central to the offering is Midea iBUILDING, a digital platform connecting HVAC systems through a unified smart gateway. It supports BACnet and Modbus protocols and integrates with Building Management Systems. The platform includes iEasyComfort for energy monitoring and iEasyCare for predictive maintenance and fault detection.

Midea states that its integrated systems aim to address key challenges in energy efficiency, resilience, and complexity across sectors including transportation, data centers, and commercial buildings.
